Yes — Commercial Sync covers monetized YouTube, ads, podcasts, paid games, and films with no attribution obligation. The Free Sync License also covers monetized creator use up to 100,000 views, requires credit to the artist in your description, and upgrades to a paid tier past the cap.
Every license mints as a CIP-25 token on the Cardano blockchain: a timestamped, tamper-evident record of what you licensed, when, and on what terms. It holds the song, artist, license type and date, and anyone can verify it on cardanoscan.io without going through us. It is yours, and it outlives our database.
What it is not is something the platforms read. YouTube, Twitch and TikTok have no mechanism for accepting an on-chain receipt, so if a video is ever flagged, your PDF license is what you send them.
No. You can license with just a credit card via Stripe. The NFT mints into a Sync.Land custody address by default and is available to download whenever you want to claim it.
Sign up, upload your music, and add a payout method (PayPal or tip-jar email). When someone licenses your song, the revenue clears to you minus the platform fee. Free Sync tracks earn through tip-jar links and through the auto-upgrade path when licensees cross the view cap.
Sync.Land is artist-direct. Independent musicians upload their own catalog and set their own licensing terms. No major-label clearance, no middlemen.
Many tracks are tagged as instrumental — filter the catalog by the "Instrumental" tag. Stems are available for some Commercial Sync licenses on a per-artist basis.
